Here are a couple of tips that
will help you to collect autographs by mail. First, write a letter to the
player doen't need to bee long (about half a page). Do not only ask him
for the autograph because he will think that you're only writing to him
for that and he might not sign the cards. I usually congratulate hm for
his season with his team. In your envelop, include cards of the players
or something else you'd like him to sign. Also include an enveloppe that
is addressed to you with a stamp. Some players might reaturn it even if
there isn't the envelop but it's better to put one.
Stamps:
Canada to USA: 56¢
USA to Canada: 48¢
Canada to Canada: 46 ¢
Here is an exemple of a letter:
Dear Mr. Bure,
My name is Philippe Dussault,
I'm 12 years old and I live in Toronto. You are one of my favourite player
and I enjoy seing you and the Panthers playing. I would like to congratulate
you for your excellent season with the Florida Panthers last year. Finally,
I was wondering if you could sign the cards I have sent and personalize
one of them if possible. Thank you very much and good luck for the rest
of your career.
Philippe Dussault
